WAFFLE RECIPE Ingredients - 2 cups sifted flour
- 2 tsp. Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. Baking soda
- 3 large eggs, separated
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1 cup (4 oz.) shredded sharp cheese
1. Preheat the waffle iron. 2. Sift the dry ingredients into a mixing bowl. 3. In another bowl, combine the egg yolks, melted and cooled butter, milk and cheese. 4. Add flour and belnd until free of lumps. 5. In a separate bowl beat the egg whites until stiff. 6. Fold into the batter until barely blended. 7. Spoon the batter into an electric waffle iron and bake according to the manufacturer's instructions.
